Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pre Free Agency Seven Round Mock Draft

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are back on top of the NFL world for the first time since the 2002 season. Tampa Bay, led by Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Antonio Brown as free agent acquisitions and a great defense, held Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in check to win the Super Bowl. Almost a month after, the attention in Tampa Bay has turned to free agency and the draft. Even though they won the Super Bowl, the Buccaneers still have some holes on their roster, which will be addressed in this mock draft.

To help with this mock draft, I used The Draft Network’s mock draft simulator.

Round 1, Pick 32: Dillon Radunz, OT, North Dakota State

Tampa Bay had one of the best picks of the draft when they selected Tristan Wirfs in the first round of the draft. Wirfs now mans one tackle spot, while the left tackle spot is slightly in question in regards to the future. Donovan Smith isn’t getting younger and his performance has taken a hit over the last few years. Radunz is a perfect fit for Tampa Bay and will likely be selected in this range.

Round 2, Pick 64: Hamilcar Rashed Jr, EDGE, Oregon State

Tampa Bay could lose Shaquil Barrett to free agency as he is looking for a massive contract that the Buccaneers might not be able to afford. Even if Barrett re-signs with the Buccaneers, Tampa Bay will need more pass-rush depth and some younger options. There isn’t a head-coach that doesn’t develop their players more than Todd Bowles does. Rashed is a perfect fit in Tampa Bay as a developmental pass-rusher who can transform into a starter for the Buccaneers.

Round 3, Pick 95: Seth Williams, WR, Auburn

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a lot of depth at their receiving spot this year. Unfortunately, both Antonio Brown and Chris Godwin are impending free agents and Tampa Bay needs to add at least one weapon to their core. Williams may not be the best route-runner or after-the-catch threat, but he would be a great backup to what Tampa Bay has with Mike Evans. Williams can catch contested catches easily and will be an elite redzone threat, especially with Brady.

For more on Williams, you can read our scouting report on him here.

Round 4, Pick 137: Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, Oklahoma

Leonard Fournette and LeSean McCoy are impending free agents. Ronald Jones finally broke out last year, but the depth behind him will once again be lacking. Ke’Shawn Vaughn didn’t get much playing time during his rookie season and Stevenson is a better player than him already. He can be used in the passing game, but not as a main focal point in the passing attack. Stevenson is going to be the second-man in Tampa Bay’s committee if he is selected with this spot.

Round 5, Pick 177: Sadarius Hutcherson, IOL, South Carolina

Hutcherson is a versatile offensive lineman. He has played at both guard spots and at left tackle. Hutcherson is a four-year starter but still needs to develop into a starting piece in the NFL. Tampa Bay would be wise to add some depth to the interior of their offensive line to ensure that Brady and whoever their next quarterback may be, stay upright.

Round 5, Pick 186: Garret Wallow, LB, TCU

One of the biggest disappointments from Senior Bowl week was when Wallow had to drop out as he tested positive for COVID-19. He is a former safety that made the transition to the linebacker position. Tampa Bay has Lavonte David as an impending free agent. Both David and Devin White formed the best linebacker tandem in the league last year, and while the Bucs would still be fine with White, getting another athletic, rangy linebacker in Wallow would be a great addition.

Round 7, Pick 246: Ta’Quon Graham, IDL, Texas

Ndamukong Suh is also an impending free agent. Graham showed out in the Senior Bowl and getting an interior force with a high-motor in the seventh round is always a risk worth taking, even if they still need a lot of development.

Round 7, Pick 253: William Bradley-King, EDGE, Baylor

The draft class is filled with high-upside developmental pass-rushers on days two and three. Continuing to revamp their front seven, the Buccaneers spend another pick on a pass-rusher. Bradley-King showed what he could do at the Senior Bowl, and Bowles would love his versatility. Bradley-King can rush the passer while also dropping back into coverage. That skillset is hard to find this late in the draft, and the Buccaneers jump on the opportunity.
