The New Orleans Saints start out with the 28th pick in this year’s draft. Luckily, they have eight picks in total to fill out their roster. The Saints weren’t able to fully dabble in the free-agent market due to the cap hell they were in. Let’s take a look at all of the players they may draft in less than two weeks.

The Rams are all in. Sending starting quarterback Jared Goff along with two first-round picks for Matthew Stafford makes that quite clear.

The Buffalo Bills hold the 30th pick in the upcoming draft following winning the AFC East and losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. They made some interesting moves in free agency, including signing former Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to backup Josh Allen, running back Matt Breida, and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. There are a number of different directions that they can go at the end of the month. 

The Atlanta Falcons possess the fourth overall draft pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. New head coach Arthur Smith and general manager Terry Fontenot have nine picks to shape the new future for the Falcons after starting the 2020 season 0-5 and finishing 4-12. 

In a time where it seems as if the Texans can’t do anything right, let’s break down what picks they should make if they want to improve their team in this month’s draft.

Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman have 10 picks in the 2021 NFL draft, beginning with the 14th-overall selection, to fix some glaring weaknesses on the Minnesota Vikings’ roster. Most of those picks come from trades, with the mid-season deal to send Yannick Ngakoue to the Baltimore Ravens netting a third-round choice.

The New York Jets own the second overall selection in this month’s NFL Draft following a 2-14 season. They also own the 23rd selection following their trade of Jamaal Adams to the Seattle Seahawks.

Protecting Patrick Mahomes was the Kansas City Chiefs’ priority entering 2021 NFL free agency. Andy Reid had seen the franchise take enough bumps when Mahomes was bludgeoned by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pass rush in Super Bowl LV. Reid and general manager Brett Veach acted once the veteran market opened.

The New York Giants surprised many by going on a huge spending spree in free agency. The team signed big-name players at positions of need, with Leonard Williams, Kenny Golladay, and Adoree’ Jackson all getting multi-year deals. The moves did come at quite a price, as the Giants doled out approximately $121 million in new contract guarantees. The length of these contracts is confounding, considering most other teams were content giving shorter “prove it” deals after the salary cap went backward in 2021.

The Bengals secured their franchise quarterback, Joe Burrow, last year; however, they failed to protect him at all. Hits accumulated at an enormous pace until Burrow suffered a devastating knee injury versus Washington. After also losing AJ Green to the Arizona Cardinals in free agency, questions arise as to what the Bengals should do at their pick.
