The Oakland Athletics have clinched a Wild Card spot. Andersen Pickard looks at the team’s roster and how far they could go in October.
Well here’s to hoping you didn’t lose Saquon Barkley, but if you did don’t feel defeated yet. You aren’t the only one and some of our writers did as well. It’s a painful experience as if you were hurt alongside him, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Now you get to test your management skills till he returns and as the season goes along start to make trades and waiver pickups to stay afloat till Barkley, Tyreek Hill, Drew Brees, A.J. Green, and other key players return.
October 17, 2017 — Less than six minutes into the Boston Celtics regular-season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers — Celtics
Last week was interesting, to say the least. It wasn’t a good week, but it wasn’t a terrible week. We can look forward to there not being any obvious and ridiculously cheap chalk such as Nelson Agholor, and we are getting to the point in the season where some occurrences are less random and skill takes over.
With that said, let’s get to the cheap looks for this week.
The New England Patriots have avoided another injury scare. ESPN Patriots writer Mike Reiss reported that left tackle Marshall Newhouse
Chris Totaro previews Sunday’s matchup between the red-hot Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints, fresh off a big win vs. the Seahawks.
What a game! What a way to open up week four! In what was a back-and-forth shootout last night, the Eagles were the team to come out on top, 34-27, in a thriller. The Eagles ended up finishing the game down to just two cornerbacks, but with just seconds left, backup cornerback Craig James came up with a big play to tip the ball in the air. Nigel Bradham caught the tipped ball for the game-sealing interception.
The New England Patriots are looking to address one of their weakest positions on the roster. Per reports the Patriots
“Thank you for being an example, thank you for touching so many lives, and thank you for sharing your love for the game of baseball.” Jacob Benge pens a letter to retiring Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame broadcaster, Marty Brennaman.
As it stands right now, the Denver Broncos are 0-3 and they have lost a road game to a division
A full helping of games awaits us for Friday night. Make sure to pay close attention to lineup construction and news on potential capping of starting pitchers innings from here until Sunday. Many managers will rest players to close out the season if there is nothing left to gain. Bats to focus on will be the Bronx Bombers at Globe Life Stadium in Texas and the Brew Crew and the Rockies at Coors. Let’s party one more time kids (for the Regular Season anyway), let’s go Around the Horn!!
