The 2019 MLB season has come with a record number of home runs as well as a record number of strikeouts. However, many people forget the long plate appearances that this season is producing. With these long plate appearances come a record number of foul balls going into the stands.

The 2019 NFL season is almost here! Well, the preseason at least. The Hall of Fame game between the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos is just a few days away. The regular season is a little more than five weeks away, but football is back baby! Of course, that means redraft fantasy leagues will be drafting left and right over the next month or so. With that in mind, here are my top 12 running backs for the 2019 season.
Over the past month, the Red Sox have arguably played their best baseball of the season. Although they have gotten contributions up and down the lineup, nobody has been better than Mookie Betts. After struggling early on the defending American League MVP has been a different player of late. His bat has awoken at the perfect time as the Red Sox make their playoff push. With Betts regaining his stroke at the plate, the Red Sox offense which was already baseballs best has become even more dangerous.
The Lions 2018 season left much to be desired. After a great first play from scrimmage resulting in an interception returned for a touchdown, the Lions season turned completely upside down. Matthew Stafford had one of his worst seasons as a pro and offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter would be replaced during the offseason by Darrell Bevell. After an up and down start resulting in a 3-3 record midway through October, they would go on to lose seven of the next ten games ending the season with a 6-10 record, their worst since 2012.
Ah, here we are, Monday. The terrific feeling of the weekend ending and work beginning again, said no one ever. But do you know something people actually say? The Kansas City Chiefs ended 2018 on a sour note losing a close game at home in the AFC Championship Game to the New England Patriots. While it ended on a low, the majority of their campaign was positive, finishing 12-4 on the regular season. The Chiefs also won their first playoff game since 2015 and hosted the AFC Championship Game for the first time in franchise history. Patrick Mahomes won Most Valuable Player and became only the second quarterback in history to throw for 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns, joining only Peyton Manning. The defensive side of the ball was a completely different story, finishing second to last in total yards allowed per game. There were a lot of highs last season, and while it may have finished on a low note, Chiefs fans had to be happy with the beginning of a new era for Chiefs football.
