On Monday night, the Lakers and Mavericks took the court. This was a must-win game for the Lakers and they delivered the victory 107-97. The young core stepped up and helped right the ship for a Laker team that has struggled without LeBron James.

This makes things more interesting and perhaps more challenging for us to find a winning combination of players because the pool to pick from is so much greater on these nights. The NBA has a lot of different deadlines. There’s the trade deadline in February, which is one of my favorite days of the year, the mid-season resigning deadline, the deadline to submit playoff-eligible rosters, and the deadline that a team can have a maximum of 15 full-time players and 2 two-way players by the end of the preseason.
Teams looking for a fresh start at the head coaching position are going to have to look elsewhere. New England
Pittsburgh Penguins won eight straight games going to Sunday night, but as soon as they learned Their opponent would be, the Penguins knew the streak would come to an end. The Blackhawks defeated the Penguins for tenth straight time and in comeback fashion. The Pens scored two early goals to jump to a 2-0 lead, but Chicago came back to win 5-3 to offer a little bit of consolation for fans from Windy City.
The 2019 NFL season is still several months away but it’s never too early to get ready the fantasy season. With free agency, trades and the NFL draft still to come, many of these players’ fantasy value will change for the upcoming season. In a four part series, I take a shot in the dark and rank the top quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends for 2019 redraft leagues.
Last season, the Sacramento Kings drafted Kentucky guard De’Aaron Fox. He was my favorite player from the draft. However, it was not the best of seasons for Fox or the Kings. It was understandable because they were a young team and did not have many veterans to mentor them. They finished last season 27-55. It was a disappointing season but there is a lot of potential on this team. Fox averaged just 11.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1 steals, 0.3 blocks, and 2.4 turnovers per game, on .412 FG%. Some people started calling Fox a bust and saying he is not the real deal, he’s overhyped, etc. But I knew that Fox would definitely come back better than ever and put the league on notice.
Welcome Back, Hoop heads! We are already into January and the NBA season is getting into full swing, with playoff prospects for most teams is already beginning to take shape for better or worse.
