Another week, another boring divisional game that the New England Patriots (9-2) should run away with.
Even with the Buffalo Bills (6-5) coming off a gutsy road win in a hostile environment against the struggling Kansas City Chiefs, this team simply does not have the weapons offensively to hang with the class of the AFC.
Sure, they have LeSean McCoy, but that’s about it, as wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin will be sidelined with a knee injury. You have to think there may still be some turmoil in the locker room when head coach Sean McDermott decided to bench Tyrod Taylor for Nathan Peterman, who threw five, yes five, interceptions against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Patriots have their own issues with injuries with Chris Hogan (shoulder) not being able to face off against his former team and Marcus Cannon (ankle) sidelined as well. The defense will be without Trey Flowers and Trevor Reilly as well, and could possibly be without a staple in Kyle Van Noy and cornerback Eric Rowe.
Even with question marks of availability, the Patriots should not have to struggle to get points on the board, as the Buffalo defense has allowed a whopping 111 points in its last three contests.
Also, with a win this afternoon, Tom Brady can tie for the most wins in Buffalo since 2001, and yes, sadly, it includes quarterbacks that suited up for the Bills.
Look for him to tie the mark.
