Week 14 is in the books! Were your teams able to stave off the injury bug? Whether you need an injury replacement or want an upgrade over your current starter, here is a list of streamers with favorable matchups in Week 15.
The following players are owned in less than 50 percent of Yahoo Leagues.
Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles
Hurts got his career off to a blistering start last week with 106 rushing yards on a team-high 18 carries. He also added 167 passing yards and a touchdown. Hurts finished as QB12 in Week 14 ahead of studs like Kyler Murray, Justin Herbert, and Deshaun Watson. Hurts’ rushing ability gives him a top-15 floor this week against an Arizona Cardinals defense giving up the twelfth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.
Philip Rivers, QB, Indianapolis Colts
Rivers has been a steady low-end QB1 for the past five weeks, averaging 284 passing yards and two touchdowns versus 0.4 interceptions while completing 68.3 percent of his passes. He’s heating up at the right time for fantasy owners heading into the semifinals. This week, he faces a Houston Texans defense whom he just torched a couple of weeks ago to the tune of 285 passing yards and two touchdowns. With four-time Pro Bowler T.Y. Hilton coming on strong over the past three games, Rivers is a high-floor streaming option with a QB1 ceiling.
Mitchell Trubisky, QB, Chicago Bears
Trubisky makes this list for the second week in a row. Last week, Trubisky was a top-10 fantasy producer with 267 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Houston Texans. He also added 23 yards on the ground. This week, he faces a Minnesota Vikings defense that is allowing 294 passing yards per game at home this season. Trubisky is a top-15 option this week.
Irv Smith Jr., TE, Minnesota Vikings
Smith started for an injured Kyle Rudolph (foot) last week and recorded four catches, 63 yards, and a touchdown against a tough Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense. The talented sophomore out of Alabama has another friendly matchup this week against a Chicago Bears defense that’s giving up the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. If Rudolph remains out next week, fire up Smith as a low-end TE1 with a top-10 ceiling.
Cole Kmet, TE, Chicago Bears
Kmet has seen his targets spike over the past two weeks. He went from averaging 1.8 targets over the first 12 weeks to seven targets over his last two games. Over the last two weeks, Kmet has nine catches for 78 yards and a touchdown while out-targeting fellow tight end Jimmy Graham 14-to-5. His matchup against the Vikings this week isn’t easy, but his recent high-level of play makes him a TE2 streaming option.
Troy Fumagalli, TE, Denver Broncos
Fumagalli stepped in for Noah Fant (illness) last Sunday and recorded four catches and 53 yards on five targets. If Fant can’t go this week, Fumagalli is a deep-league target with a favorable matchup against a Buffalo Bills defense that’s giving up the sixth-most fantasy points to tight ends. Fumagalli will not be a viable option if Fant plays.
Cleveland, DST
Cleveland has a fantastic matchup this week against a New York Giants team that just 18 fantasy points to the Arizona Cardinals. The Giants are giving up the sixth-most fantasy points to defenses this season. The Browns defense led by Myles Garrett has one of the safest floors this week with a top-five ceiling.
Buffalo, DST
Buffalo is owned in just over 50 percent of Yahoo leagues, but they’re on the list this week. The Bills face a Denver Broncos team that’s giving up the second-most fantasy points to defenses this season. Drew Lock played well last week, but he’s been inconsistent this season. Fire up the Bills as a top-10 option this week.
Tennessee, DST
With Matthew Stafford questionable (ribs) to play in Week 15, the Titans could face journeyman quarterback Chase Daniel this week. If Daniel starts for the injured Stafford, the Titans’ defense will go from a top-20 option to a top-five option.
Tyler Bass, K, Buffalo Bills
Bass has scored the fourth-most fantasy points at kicker this season. He is averaging 9.3 fantasy points per game. This week, he has a matchup with the Broncos who are giving up the most fantasy points to kickers this season. Expect Josh Allen to provide multiple scoring opportunities via field goals and extra points. He’s a top-five option at his position this week.
Ryan Succop, K, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Succop has been one of the most reliable kickers in fantasy, averaging 8.6 points per game. He’s also hit 92.3 percent of his field goals this season. Tom Brady should have no problem moving the ball against an Atlanta Falcons defense that’s giving up a fifth-worst 390.6 yards per game. With the game’s Over/Under at 50.5, Succop should score anywhere between 7-12 fantasy points.
