Best Bet No. 1: Trevor Lawrence Over 214.5 Passing Yards (-110)

The big man with the long, iconic hair has arrived. Second-year quarterback Trevor Lawrence has had very few opportunities to showcase himself on primetime early in his career. He gets his shot tonight against the Jets in one of football’s biggest markets.

Over his past six starts, Lawrence has put up stellar numbers: 1,860 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and only one interception. In addition, in three of his past four games, T-Law has thrown for over 300 yards and three touchdowns. We always knew the athleticism, size, and sheer, raw talent was there with Lawrence, but now we’re seeing it tenfold for the Jags and their explosive offense. Although the Jets have played starting quarterbacks tough thus far, I think Lawrence will easily surpass his prop of 214.5 passing yards on the night, especially after shredding the Cowboys last weekend. Lock in the former Clemson star gunslinger on the over, football fans.

Best Bet No. 2: Jaguars Money Line (+100)

After starting the season with a 2-6 record, the Jaguars have played some impressive football over the past few weeks to get themselves back in both the divisional and playoff picture in the AFC. As previously mentioned, Jacksonville has reeled off three wins over the past four weeks (including wins against the Ravens, Titans, and Cowboys) and are right in the thick of things to make a push in late December.

Don’t forget the all-important QB matchup between Lawrence and Zach Wilson, the 2021 No. 1 and No. 2 picks, respectively. This season has been an abomination for Wilson, who owns an abysmal 54.9 completion percentage and saw stints on the sideline due to poor on-field performance. Lawrence, on the other hand, continues to show glimpses of the dominant, alpha presence he was during his time at Clemson. In a game projected to be as close as this one, I’m inclined to lean toward the far more talented QB. I anticipate this game being one of the most highly-contested and competitive games on the schedule. Let’s see what Doug Pederson’s men are truly made of when the heat (and pressure) is turned up. Take them on the money line at +100 as soon as you can.
