Notre Dame University is one of the most sought-after college football jobs in the country. It’s right up there with Alabama, Michigan, USC, Ohio State, and Florida. However, Brian Kelly, who’s been there for over a decade, decided to go to LSU this week.
Remaining one of the top college football conferences in 2020, the SEC was once again led by two powerhouses in Alabama and Florida. Perfect in the West Division, Nick Saban’s group finished 13-0, including an excellent 10-0 record in interdivisional play.

The entire college football landscape has shifted within one offseason. With the recent announcement that Oklahoma and Texas will most likely move to the SEC, things have started to get complicated. The changes haven’t gone without serious controversy. However, we need to look past that controversy and decipher what has happened throughout this wild 2021 offseason.
On Sunday afternoon Gus Malzahn became the third SEC head coach to lose his job in 2020. It was a common misconception head coaching jobs would be safe this year. Most thought the conference-only schedule and players being permitted to opt-out due to Covid-19 would keep the coaches safe from losing their jobs as well.
.The Tennessee Volunteers traveled to Columbia, SC to face the Gamecocks in the teams’ season opener. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all SEC teams are only playing conference teams this year. Their schedules were reduced to 10 games, and they postponed the start of the season. The Volunteers came into the game ranked No.16. They were favored to defeat the Gamecocks, which they did for the second year in a row, 31-27.
