We are back again with another edition of MLB DFS, as we have a great eight-game slate starting at 1:35 p.m. EDT on DraftKings.

They’ll face the third-seeded Chicago Cubs in the opening round, starting on Wednesday. The Cubs are taking part in the postseason for the fifth time in the previous six seasons.
Welcome in and happy Friday everyone. By the time lineups lock most of you will be free from work, getting ready to enjoy a nice weekend. Let’s start that weekend off right by adding to our DFS bankroll. Here are some Pitching Options, Top Hitters, and a Value Play to look at tonight.
Everybody cracks jokes about the Marlins. Many people even say that this team has no future and that there’s no hope for their franchise. This is just untrue. The Marlins’ are stacked with young talent in their farm system that should be ready by 2020 or 2021. Today, we’re going to take a dive into some players that will be helping the Marlins in the future.
I will not pretend or attempt to be a weatherman but the early look ahead doesn’t seem pretty, at least for a couple of games. I’ll be avoiding the game in New York and the game in Philadelphia until we hear the word that it’s a full go. So, let’s take a look at some of the other games and options that seem to be playable tonight.
Here are your two-start pitchers for this week. While it’s never a given that both starts will go down due to weather or a change in rotation plans, these are pitchers that are slated to do some extra work this week.
So here’s the deal. I had a bad April. Statistically, it was not great. Not only that, but my process was flawed. To try to come up with early season streaming matchups, I tried to use run projection models from FanGraphs. Unfortunately, those did not account for early hot streaks from teams like the Mariners and Twins. They also didn’t take into account various left vs. right or home vs. away strengths and weaknesses, mostly because those were things that projections just couldn’t account for early on. Also, I had significant flaws in the way that my spreadsheet credited teams for different home/away splits when I did try to account for them. Nevertheless, I’m still here, either as a glutton for punishment or as an attempt at redemption. The first month is the hardest month to try to stream anyway. It can only get better from here, right? RIGHT?!? Anyway, here’s the best matchup plays for the first half of the week.
It’s hard to believe that the Marlins once had Giancarlo Stanton, Christian Yelich, J.T. Realmuto, and Jose Fernandez on the same team and have not been to the playoffs since they defeated the Yankees in the 2003 World Series. Side note, it’s pretty amazing that they have been to the playoffs twice in their existence, and won the world series both times.
