MLB DFS: Going Back To Cali

MLB DFS: Going Back to Cali: Sandy Alcantara

A couple of battles going on late tonight on the West Coast deserve our attention. The Los Angeles Dodgers take on the San Diego Padres in what is already shaping up to be a dogfight to the end for the National League West. The surprising San Francisco Giants host the Miami Marlins in the other contest. Let’s dive right in with a few values for you to get in your MLB DFS lineups tonight.

***All Prices Are DraftKings***

Sandy Alcantara $7,400 at San Francisco Giants

The Marlins right-hander faced these same Giants last weekend and while he gave up four runs, he pitched into the seventh inning and punched out seven while not allowing a free pass. Alcantara has gone at least six in each of his four starts this season and is striking out over a batter per inning. Miami was shut down last night but will be facing lefty Alex Wood tonight in only his second start of the season. Expect some run support from the Marlins lineup as they stack the righties like…

Jesus Aguilar 1B $3,400

With the wind blowing out at 12-15 mph and 90 percent humidity, the ball will be flying at Oracle Park. Aguilar has yet to hit a homer this year, but tonight will be the night as he is my home run call. Get him fired up and save the $1,500 off Max Muncy.

Jon Berti 2B $2,900

The Marlins infielder has started off slow batting .194 without a HR or a stolen base. He does have a hit in each of his last two games and owns a .262 lifetime average. He also has a solid .353 career OBP with eight bombs and 27 swipes in 132 games. Berti, like Aguilar, won’t be held down much longer and at $2,900, you can’t beat the price.

Alex Dickerson OF $3,700

The Giants’ right fielder was enjoying a little hot streak before being given the day off yesterday (although he did pinch-hit). In the previous four games, Dickerson was 6-for-14 with a dinger and five RBI. Again, here is another player looking to return to his normal form. Dickerson has an .889 OPS since joining the San Fran but is only clocking in at a .733 this season.

***NOTE***

As you see I targeted the Giants vs. Marlins game but these are value plays. They will allow you to take the studs in the Dodgers-Padres contest if you so choose. Have fun with it and good luck tonight.
