2018-19 San Jose Sharks Season Review
The San Jose Sharks season was defined by one word: injury. But it started with Stanley Cup expectations.

The NHL Playoffs have one more gigantic step before two teams duke it out to see which team will stand alone as the best in the league in 2018-19.
10 games on the slate for your Tuesday evening puck. Teams are still vying for playoff spots and division titles so the urgency to grab as many wins in only a handful of games is a driving force for many clubs. My targeted games are as follows: Colorado Avalanche hosting Edmonton, the surprisingly much better Detroit Red Wings at home to Pittsburgh, San Jose at Vancouver and Columbus versus the Bruins.
Only a few weeks left of regular season NHL DFS. Thursday brings us a decent helping of games to choose from. My leading target might come as a surprise, Florida at Ottawa, Florida has been trounced in some goal fests recently and the Sens have played better lately as their bevy of young talent has been producing. The other high projected high event games are Chicago at San Jose, the Islanders at Winnipeg, and Washington looking for two in a row against the Hurricanes.
The Sharks have clinched a spot in the postseason again. Can they finally raise Lord Stanley’s Cup this year?
We hit on a number of plays on Tuesday, let’s see if we can continue with some more selections for Thursday’s version of Ice Picks. Pittsburgh and Washington are on my radar(surprise, surprise) as well as Tampa Bay and SanJose(more of the usual suspects). Here are the games in order preference: Penguins at Sabres, Lightning at Red Wings, Panthers at Sharks and Capitals at Flyers. Here we go!
The Boston Bruins came out victorious against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night at TD Garden.
The 2019 Trade Deadline Day has commenced and it has started with a bang as the San Jose Sharks announced that they acquired Gustav Nyquist from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a 2019 second round pick and a conditional 2020 third round pick late last night.
Thursday, February 21st’s NHL card has 11 games on tap. Two games have me very intrigued and lead the way by a good margin over the rest of the offerings for high event matches. Washington at Toronto and San Jose at Pittsburgh(especially) could go off for a plethora of goals. Also, Buffalo at Tampa Bay and New York Islanders at Edmonton are on my radar.
The NHL schedule continues its trend of loading up Tuesday and Thursday nights. Tonight we have a robust 11 games on the card. The following are games we should be targetting: Flames at Panthers, Avalanche at Jets, Devils at Blackhawks, Maple Leafs at Golden Knights, Blues at Coyotes and Capitals at Sharks.
Another mega-slate of games after a light two-games last night in the NHL. Tonight we have a huge 14 games on the card. Half the games have a combined implied total of at least six goals with two of them currently pegged at 6.5. Penguins at Panthers and Sharks at Flames are leading the way in high-event probability.
A maxed out NHL card for Tuesday evening brings us 12 games to choose from. Plenty of high event games to like, Golden Knights at Lightning, Sharks at Jets, Blue Jackets at Avalanche, Blackhawks at Oilers and Hurricanes at Penguins round out games with the most offensive upside.
