With the recent news that the NBA has proposed a plan to bring back the 2019-2020 season and the sense of this proposal having a high success rate of going through, the NBA will have its long-awaited return.

The MLS is the second American sports league to formally agree on a return-to-play format.

The NBA confirmed early this afternoon that it is having exploratory talks with the Walt Disney Company about a plan to resume the 2019-20 NBA season.
Prior to 2019, when the Superbowl ended so did football games and practices until OTAs started after the draft. 2019 is different because the week after the big game ends a new football league will begin its inaugural season. The Alliance of American Football will begin its first season February 9th.
