Team Giannis led by as many as 19, but Damian Lillard and Kawhi Leonard brought Team LeBron back before Kevin Durant closed out the game with some crucial threes to give Team LeBron the win for the second straight year. The All-Star break is fun and meant for rest before the big stretch runs for the playoffs. Here’s where all the teams outside of the playoff picture rank so far this season.
The Los Angeles Clippers are currently sitting in 8th place in the Western Conference. Clippers are 5-5 in their last ten games. After trading Tobias Harris, many people thought Clippers would tank and look forward to next season with a higher draft pick, two max roster slots, possibly landing the likes of Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant. But, with the team, they have now, led by Lou Williams, alongside Danilo Gallinari, Montrezl Harrell, and Patrick Beverly, the Clippers can still compete and be the dark horse team that makes the playoffs as the 8th seed.
With temperatures getting warmer, days getting longer, and All-Star weekend behind us, attention can start to shift towards the Holy Grail of the NBA campaign, the playoffs. This year’s regular season has been wildly entertaining, and the upcoming free agency is set to be the most dramatic in recent memory, but the time between mid-April and mid-June will always be the most exciting period in the basketball calendar. To steal the NBA’s favorite slogan, the postseason is why we watch.

The Celtics finished last week off going undefeated. They defeated the Philadelphia 76ers and Detroit Pistons. They finished the week going 2-0 right before All-Star break, a great way to end it.
With the Heat originally announcing that Goran Dragic was “expected to return after all-star break” following his knee surgery, the point guard’s Heat return appears to be imminent. And another tough roster decision awaits Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra.
It is no secret to anyone at this point that the Los Angeles Lakers were not able to trade for New Orleans Pelicans star forward Anthony Davis. A multitude of reasons played a role in this outcome but one stands out from the rest. It was the Lakers who, besides the Golden State Warriors, are the NBA’ public enemy number one.
The All-Star break is finally upon us and the first half (or so) of the season is gone, and there have been several surprise developments that have come this season. To talk about what we saw so far this season, a few of our wordsmiths have come together to talk about it.

The festivities are over, the “teammates” are all headed back to their selective squads, now it’s time to figure out who will make the NBA’s “sweet sixteen”. The eight teams from each conference who will try and get into the playoffs. We will give an analysis of each squad, who will get in, and a couple of surprises that nobody saw coming.
With NBA All-Star Weekend looming to start the week, NBA was cut short this week with the weeks’ action ending on Thursday night. This week we’ll be checking in on Cleveland’s “young bull” Collin Sexton. Next, we’ll be checking in on Trae Young and his career night against the visiting Los Angeles Lakers. After that, we will head to the desert for DeAndre Ayton’s 20-point performance against the Los Angeles Clippers.
