The 50th anniversary season of AMA Pro Motocross was one for the books. Eli Tomac and Chase Sexton, arguably the two best Motocross riders anywhere on the planet, were separated by just one point going into the season finale in Pala, California.
Jett Lawrence’s 2022 has been nothing short of impeccable. Earlier this year, he picked up his first 250 Regional Supercross Championship a few rounds early in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
The penultimate round of AMA Pro Motocross took things to the outskirts of Indianapolis and Ironman MX. Once the finale for a half-dozen-year stretch, the facility has since bounced around the final third of the schedule, but still remains the final east coast venue.
Last week, Tim Gajser wrapped up his fourth MXGP World Championship in Finland over Jeremy Seewer. Although that is all settled, the MX2 Championship, unequivocally the better of the two this year, is still very much alive.
