The baseball season is a grind. It’s every single day. We will approach DFS the same way and be winners at the end of the season even if we have our hot streaks and slumps. Every day there are safe bets that flop and values that hit big, but we need to stick with our strategy in evaluating and playing. Let’s take a look at what we have today.
Pinch-hitting for your normal Wednesday MLB DFS writer, I will be taking you through some options for the main slate of games on Draftkings. These options can also be used on Fanduel or Yahoo as well. Let’s get right into it as we present this week’s Locks, Stacks, and Barrels.

Every day there are safe bets that flop and values that hit big, but we need to stick with our strategy in evaluating and playing. I apologize for not having my season-long numbers this week. The Mets are a very interesting team. They find themselves in a division that is shaping up to be a four-team, very competitive race. GM Brodie Van Wagenen has put together a roster that can compete, whether the rest of the baseball universe believes it or not. Van Wagenen is the former co-founder of Creative Artists Agency. He helped negotiate deals for Robinson Cano with the Mariners and Yoenis Cespedes with the Mets among others. Trying to get away from their conventional approach, Van Wagenen added some new pieces to improve the Mets chances in 2019.
For Mets fans, last year was not only dreadful but confusing at the same time. The team started out torrid, going 11-1 and then proceeded to have a dreadful stretch where the season was essentially over. Without any pressure on the team, the team finished the season 44-37 in their last 81 to bring them to 77-85 for the season. Even though the last 81 games were meaningless to the team, this stretch is somewhat an indication of the growth occurring in the organization.
We always talk about how deep the Outfield is, but if you were to construct your outfield from just this list of 25 players, you would be in great shape. With the exception of a few, there are at least 8 of the first 12 players on this list that have tremendous upside and could far exceed their draft value. And 11 of the 12 can be had outside the Top 100. There is tremendous value in the later rounds for the Outfield Position this year. And you may not have to pay up for a stud:
