Danny Podolsky takes a look at the 2018 Draft Lottery and gives grades to each pick:
Our Kyle O’Connor ranks his top five young stars in the NBA.
In comparison to some weak draft classes such as 2013 and 2016, 2018 looks like it could be an all-time
Kyle O’Connell ranks the NBA’s eight best players with the first couple of weeks of the season in the books.
Another week is down and we are still up. Since I have been keeping track of my picks, I am 15-8-2. Not to brag, but if it was legal for me to gamble on sports, I would be pretty damn rich. So if you are allowed to gamble, it’s time to get rich. If you are like me, let’s get theoretically rich!
Another day, another division preview! The start of the regular season is almost here. T-minus less than two weeks! Are you excited? I’m excited. In fact, I think this could be the most interesting season for both players and for fans. So many teams switched up their rosters in a drastic way and that can only mean one thing: there’s going to be plenty of drama.
The 2019 NBA offseason has already become one with widespread ramifications, and free agency has yet to begin.
The New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers got things started when they agreed in principle to a trade that will send all-star big man Anthony Davis to Hollywood.
Although, the trade felt anti-climatic in a way. The Lakers have long been enamored with Anthony Davis, and they were finally able to land him after a tumultuous trade deadline. As a result, the Pelicans acquired some of the most intriguing young talents the league has to offer in the form of Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram.
As I’m sure you’ve noticed by now, I like to keep my finger on the pulse of the current NBA topics of conversation and write about such things as “Hank Gathers has been dead longer than 79% of the NBA has been alive” and “Rodney Rogers was a thing once, I wonder what happened to – oh. Damn.” It’s time to keep that trend going and interrupt the most important month of the season to talk about a bunch of guys whose years are over.
Let me get this out of the way before I say anything else: Trae Young will not be Rookie of the Year.
In part one of this weeks’ Rookie Report we took a look at Marvin Bagley III and the impressive work he did against two of the most imposing teams in the Western Conference.
For more on those games and Bagley III’s impressive showings, click here.
In part two we’ll head over to the Eastern Conference where Trae Young had two very impressive overtime performances.
Although early impressions of the 2019 rookie class suggest that it is one of the strongest and deepest in recent memory, the latest crop to enter the NBA will be defined by two players who will be compared meticulously throughout their careers. Ever since the night of the 2018 draft, Trae Young and Luka Doncic were destined to be intrinsically linked.
