So I thought it would be fun to put together a team of the best players by position for the 2010s All-Decade Team. A couple picks are definitely no-brainers, with others being tougher to come to a decision. Without further ado, here we go. Let the arguments commence.

Well, the All-Star festivities are over, with the AL winning for the seventh year in a row, 4-3, and Mets’ Pete Alonso going home the winner of the home run derby. Now as we head into the second half tonight with a makeup game between the Astros and Rangers, let’s hand out our midseason awards.

New signing Michael Brantley has been one of the highlights of this team, leading all qualified Astros with a .324 batting average. Not to mention Yordan Alvarez, who made his major league debut on June 9th. In 19 games, Alvarez has hit seven home runs and has an OPS of 1.141. Their pitching has been dominant as well, as both their team ERA (3.86) and WHIP (1.14) rank fourth and second, respectively.
