The Philadelphia Phillies are in the unenviable position of being caught in the middle. The New York Mets lead the East and the Atlanta Braves just traded for Joc Pederson to replace their injured superstar Ronlad Acuna Jr. What will the Phillies do?
The Rangers are clear sellers, though their level of aggressiveness remains unclear. While it would be wise to trade any player above the age of 30 with an expiring contract, Texas does have to field a team and also doesn’t want to allow itself to get fleeced. Thus, make no mistake: the Rangers are more than comfortable with sitting pat if they so desire.
Although they rank third in their division, the Padres have an impressive 55-41 record, giving them the second Wild Card spot. How might they approach the upcoming July 30 trade deadline?

Welcome to another week of baseball as we are still standing going into the third full week of this very
Two days after the Atlanta Braves joined the 80-win club, the Minnesota Twins join the party. In Atlanta, there seems to be doubt as far as the pitching goes. In Minnesota, fans and broadcasters (like Jenny Taft, Jamie Hersch, Marney Gellner, Dawn Mitchell, Jamie Erdahl, and Kevin Gorg,) are simply excited that this season has exceeded expectations. Of course, this is said on one condition. Our @jball0202 expects championships in Minnesota, and nothing else (maybe championship-style writing from me? I do my best.)
