Another week is down and we are still up. Since I have been keeping track of my picks, I am 15-8-2. Not to brag, but if it was legal for me to gamble on sports, I would be pretty damn rich. So if you are allowed to gamble, it’s time to get rich. If you are like me, let’s get theoretically rich!
Another day, another division preview! The start of the regular season is almost here. T-minus less than two weeks! Are you excited? I’m excited. In fact, I think this could be the most interesting season for both players and for fans. So many teams switched up their rosters in a drastic way and that can only mean one thing: there’s going to be plenty of drama.

Although, the trade felt anti-climatic in a way. The Lakers have long been enamored with Anthony Davis, and they were finally able to land him after a tumultuous trade deadline. As a result, the Pelicans acquired some of the most intriguing young talents the league has to offer in the form of Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram.
As you probably already know, Anthony Davis is not a Laker (yet?). Mike Conley is shockingly still in Memphis. We didn’t see Beal or Kemba or Vucevic leave town. What we did see was still madness though, and Mike Fanelli and I have decided to break it down for you, trade by trade. This is the first part of a four-part series where we’ll go over each of the 22 trades made this week, providing commentary and our own personal grades for each team’s involvement in each move. The NBA trade deadline is vastly approaching on Thursday so teams are scrambling to trade some of their players for good value. Kristaps Porzingis has been frustrated with the New York Knicks since last season as he decided not to attend the exit interview over a dispute with now former head coach Jeff Hornacek about the team’s direction and those concerns about the team seemed to resurface in a meeting with management yesterday.
We thought this season was already over. Prior to last night, the Golden State Warriors had looked unstoppable, going 13-1 in their last 14 games, and had been even more dominant (if that’s possible) than usual over the last month. Stephen Curry is a making a charge for MVP. Kevin Durant has been so unerringly consistent that the NBA world seems to have forgotten that he is having another sensational year. Klay Thompson can score 50 points while barely dribbling the basketball. They perhaps lacked a little depth and were vulnerable at center, but the small matter DeMarcus Cousins’ has solved that issue emphatically. In short, Golden State seemed a lock for the title.
After a less-than-ideal 2017-2018 campaign, the New York Knicks are set to take the court again with the hopes of being competitive. Madison Square Garden has longed for success again but, in a tough Atlantic Division, will they be able to achieve it?
Who is the best player in the NBA under the age of 25? Like all questions based on opinion, the answer will vary depending on who you ask. Nevertheless, there will be a few names which are mentioned frequently. For fans who love watching jaw-dropping dunks from players with superhuman athleticism, they would lean towards Giannis Antetokounmpo. If you prefer a positionless playmaker with a sky-high IQ, Ben Simmons is your pick. Those more into dominant centers would perhaps say Joel Embiid. While each of these players is in the discussion for different reasons, they have one clear characteristic in common; they are all international players.
