We have a heavy 11-game slate starting at 7 pm ET tonight. As such, there is a smorgasbord of options for our MLB DFS lineups.
Baseball is officially back! After the first two Opening Days, we now head into the weekend with all 30 MLB teams in action. Barring any more postponements, of course. With that in mind, it is time to start diving back into DFS.
The San Diego Padres entered 2021 with astronomically high expectations, and rightfully so. The team entered the season with rising superstar Fernando Tatis Jr., complemented by established veterans like Manny Machado, Tommy Pham and Yu Darvish.
Through 137 games, the Pittsburgh Pirates have posted a 5.13 ERA and have struggled to hold leads. One bright spot, however, has been David Bednar, who has emerged as an elite arm.
The Pittsburgh Pirates were busy adding to their prospect pool at this year’s trade deadline. With the departure of veterans such as Adam Frazier and Richard Rodriguez, that process has been further emphasized.
For the second straight day, and sixth time this season, a pitcher tossed a no-hitter. On Wednesday night, Texas high school native Corey Kluber was near perfect against the Texas Rangers.
The rubber match of the current series pops off on Sunday Night Baseball tonight. Not only should we have a great game, but we have ourselves a DFS Sunday Showdown Standoff with and opportunity to add to our accounts.
Hello and welcome to the very first edition of Saturday Stat Smash! Every Saturday, I will be your bartender serving up the best and craziest statistics of the week. There are no specific guidelines for the stats, just anything that I find the most impressive and interesting for the week. With that said, let’s dive into this cocktail of baseball statistics for the opening week of the MLB in 2021.
The Padres are going to be so much fun. They were last year, when they followed up Manny Machado’s initial year and Fernando Tatis Jr.’s rookie season by finishing 37-23, which was second in the National League. Of course, the rival Dodgers cleaned up pretty quickly, but now general manager AJ Preller is making sure that does not happen again.
One pitcher who’s name has become popular in the rumor mill is Joe Musgrove. The Pirates starter is coming off of a career year and is Pittsburgh’s biggest remaining trade piece.
This is the end…beautiful friends. No, we won’t be talking about Jim Morrison who fronted The Doors, or Jim Morrison who played for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1982 to 1987. We will be talking about the worst team in baseball last season.
