Seattle Kraken 2021-22 Season Recap
The first-ever season for the Seattle Kraken, well, happened. They finished dead last in the Western Conference and a bulk of their moves from the Expansion Draft and in free agency haven’t panned out.

The maiden voyage of the Seattle Kraken hasn’t exactly been one for the books. With an expansion draft that hasn’t aged well early on, they sit in the basement of the Pacific with just 40 points.
The Pittsburgh Penguins were not looking too good when the season first began. However, they are now sitting pretty in the Metropolitan.
As the second week of hockey comes to an end, things aren’t looking too great for the New York Rangers. Their record stands at 1-3, and they currently stand at three points overall, which makes them tied for last in the Massmutual East Division with the Buffalo Sabres. Despite playing much better in this week’s games and having more shots on goal than their opponents, the Rangers came up short both times, losing by one goal to both the New Jersey Devils and the Pittsburg Penguins.
The league’s championship teams of the past two seasons are front and center for tonight’s card. The red-hot Washington Capitals play host to the Montreal Canadiens and the St.Louis Blues visit the Columbus Blue Jackets. The other games aren’t as clear cut for me but you certainly can find some good prospects for production. Let’s dig into it once again for some Ice Picks!
With the Pittsburgh Penguins facing off against the Dallas Stars last night we saw everything from short-handed goals, power-play goals, drama, and breathtaking saves.
A Second blockbuster deal during the current season has been made. After Jake Muzzin was acquired by the Toronto Maple Leafs from the Los Angeles Kings, one of the biggest trade baits is off the charts too. Pittsburgh Penguins traded Derick Brassard and Riley Sheahan to the Florida Panthers for a couple of centers, Nick Bjugstad and Jared McCann, a couple of fourth-round draft picks and one second-round draft pick in 2019 NHL Draft.
