Things would be considerably more consistent and fair, but they would make Sunday Shenanigans a lot more difficult. This week is a perfect example of that. In a game between the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees, Detroit pitcher Kyle Funkhouser received a bad break.
The New York Yankees had an up-and-down opening week of the 2021 season. They opened the year with two home series against the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles, before ending the week with a series against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. Let’s see how it all went down.
Any season that ends without hoisting the Commissioner’s Trophy for the New York Yankees is considered a disappoint. So when the Yankees lost to the Astros in six games in the American League Championship Series, there was obviously a lot of disappointment.
