Mookie Betts made a solid catch as the ball headed towards the ground to end the third inning. Since then, the Dodgers’ bats woke up and scored seven go-ahead runs to claim Game 5 with a final score of 7-3.
The Houston Astros face elimination tonight, while the Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves in a pretty big 2-0 hole. That means both teams are in must-win mode and will be playing with a bit of urgency.
The Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers kicked off Game 1 of the NLCS in excellent fashion. The game was tightly contested until the final inning. Ultimately, Atlanta came out on top 5-1 to snatch a 1-0 series lead, on the strength of strong pitching and three home runs.
