MLB DFS October 18: NLCS Game 7 Showdown

For the first time since 2004, both Championship Series have the decisive Game 7. After the Tampa Bay Rays punched their ticket to the World Series last night, they await the winner of tonight’s Los Angeles Dodgers-Atlanta Braves matchup. The Dodgers have won the last two games, 7-3 and 3-1, to force this Game 7. The first pitch is at 8:15 p.m. EST on FS1. Let’s try to win some cash on this do-or-die game.

Captain

Corey Seager ($14,700)

Seager has been the leader for the Dodgers during this series and will likely win the NLCS MVP if they win. He hit his sixth home run of the postseason in Game 6, which is a Dodger postseason record. This included two homers in Game 5. His 15 RBI are also a Dodger postseason record. Look for him to put up another big game as the Dodgers try to make their third World Series in four years.

Utility Options

Taking Seager as your captain will allow you to take Freddie Freeman ($9,400), Cody Bellinger ($8,600), and Joc Pederson ($6,000). This is solid top three hitters for your lineup while you will have room for Cristian Pache ($5,800) and Kike Hernandez ($5,200). Freeman has been the Braves’ MVP this series, going 9-22 (.409) with two homers and six RBI. Pache has gotten a lot more playing time this series than expected after Adam Duvall was injured in Game 1. Pache is a potential power threat and has one home run in this series.

The pitching will be notable in this one and is it will be an all-hands-on-deck approach for both sides. Right-hander Ian Anderson takes the ball for the Braves, so you could go with an all-lefty Dodger stack. The Dodgers are yet to announce their starter as of writing this, but it is likely to be Tony Gonsolin, who started Game 2 opposite of Anderson.
