Week five of the NFL brought about the first head coach firing of the year. The Washington Redskins slipped to 0-5, after suffering another heavy defeat on Sunday. Owner Dan Snyder had seen enough and fired Jay Gruden.
For the third time this year, the Cleveland Browns are on primetime. They travel to San Francisco to face the 49ers. Coming off their bye, the 49ers are looking to stay undefeated. Let’s see who the best players in this Monday Night showdown are.
The Denver Broncos did it, they finally did it. It took more than one month of the NFL season to
Thursday night’s game between the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks was an exciting contest, especially in the second half. Both offenses came to life with the Seahawks ultimately winning, 30-29 after Greg Zuerlein missed a game-winning field goal. If you got the Rams +1.5 you barely covered while the total of 48.5 easily went over. If half of the games on Sunday are as good as Thursday night’s, NFL and gambling fans are in for another great day of football.

The 0-4 Denver Broncos head to the 2-2 Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. It’s an AFC West Divisional game with plenty at stake. Denver knocked the Bolts off their stride in the corresponding game in 2018. Vic Fangio is reeling at the loss of pass rusher Bradley Chubb, but a road win in L.A. will boost the morale of the Broncos.

This week, I’m going to introduce a new “segment”, if you will, to this article. This is inspired by “Bear’s Bank” on College Gameday. The Bear has such a poor picking record at picking spreads that I decided I must take it into my own hands to challenge him. The 2019 NFL season is already a quarter of the way finished and team’s identity are starting to shape into form. At this point, there are only three undefeated teams left in the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs and surprisingly the San Francisco 49ers. Meanwhile, there are six winless teams and almost half the league is sitting at 2-2. If this course continues, the playoff race will be as exciting as ever, but what have we learned over the first quarter of the season? The Scorecrow family has put together another roundtable giving you their opinions on five NFL questions. Be sure to follow all the writers on twitter and ask any questions you may have regarding their answers. Without any further ado, let’s get into it.

Last week’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers was one of the best games all year. This week, we get the Los Angeles Rams verse the Seattle Seahawks. This could be a high scoring game or a low scoring defensive battle. I am guessing a high scoring back and forth game. Here are my picks for the best players in tonight’s game.
Last week’s Thursday night game was a good one, with the Eagles defeating the Packers 34-27 thanks to a tipped Aaron Rodgers pass that turned into the game ending interception. After the first few Thursday night games which being boring, we get another great matchup as the Los Angeles Rams travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks.
