The key to their failures over the last two years: coaching. It has been atrocious at best. Bad schemes that consistently misuse players talent, as well as terrible game management, were the ultimate problems that sunk the Broncos last year. After missing the playoffs for the third straight year, under a brand-new coaching regime led by Vic Fangio, the Broncos are looking to right the ship and go back to being a perennial playoff team.
John Elway has struggled when drafting as a GM, especially when it comes to drafting quarterbacks. Did Elway strike gold in 2019? Yes, he did.

Even with round one already wrapped up, there are still many great players left. There were many players who weren’t even expected to go in the first, such as Tytus Howard, L.J. Collier, and Kaleb McGary. While those players were taken off the board, there were many players who were better prospects as the same position, such as Cody Ford, Dre’Mont Jones, and Jawaan Taylor.
