Ah yes, if you read the title, it tells you a lot about this game. The famed Wiz Khalifa song, “We Dem Boyz”, has been a rallying tune amongst fans since the song came out in 2014. No, not the fight song, simply a rallying tune. Of course, like any Cowboys-related content, it’s been memed. Whether or not it’s funny is up to the reader.
The Lions traveled to Oakland in their last season at the Colosseum. The plan was to use an Air-Raid offense (like Arizona’s) to sink the Raiders’ ship in the Black Hole for one last time. Instead, Jon Gruden utilized Derek Carr to do exactly what Matthew Stafford was supposed to do- raid the secondary and win the game.
There’s no shortage of talking points from Week 6 of the NFL. This edition of my notebook features several quarterbacks making the headlines for different reasons. The Los Angeles Chargers stink, Dan Quinn’s seat is hot and the Carolina Panthers pound the ground in London. Russell Wilson is an MVP candidate, and a brilliant San Francisco 49ers performance concludes this edition of Woz’s NFL notebook.
