When David Price signed with Boston four years ago he was expected to be the ace to deliver a championship. Price claimed that he had saved all his postseason wins for Boston but failed to meet expectations. His postseason struggles continued in 2016 and injuries limited him the following season. Last year however Price proved his critics wrong. The former number one overall pick was key to the Red Sox postseason run and dominant in the World Series. Sleep is the most thing to keep our bodies healthy, keeps our minds sharp. We all need it; unfortunately, a lot of us have trouble getting it. According to the Health Guide, we need at least seven to nine hours of sleep nightly. Currently, the average American gets 6.8 hours of sleep, according to Gallup. For many of us, it has to do with the trouble of falling asleep. A Consumer Report poll says 27% of Americans have difficulty sleeping, while 68% struggle with sleep at least once a week.

2019 MLB Mock Draft

The Baltimore Orioles will make their first pick tonight to start off the First-Year Player Draft. The number of picks varies from the Arizona Diamondbacks having four in the first 34 to the Boston Red Sox not picking until #43. There are many things for teams to consider when deciding who to take. Signability based on commitment and/or bonus pool money is a key. Teams shouldn’t and generally don’t draft to need as in other sports because a need today may not be one a few years down the line when these kids will be ready to hit the Show. Here is a great article from Jim Callis which runs down each team’s pool money and the full draft order including compensatory picks.
