With the shocking retirement of Andrew Luck, the quarterback position has thinned a little bit at the top of the draft board. In this fantasy battle, I’m looking at two players who should be targeted at their ADPs if fantasy players want a top quarterback. Deshaun Watson and Aaron Rodgers are two of the best fantasy quarterbacks in the league. According to Fantasy Football Calculator, Watson is being drafted at pick 5.03 as the QB2 while Rodgers is going pick 5.11 as the QB3. So let’s dig a little deeper on who I favor.

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck has officially hung up his cleats after seven seasons. He is retiring because of lingering injuries that have plagued him for the last four years. In his words “It’s been four years of this pain to healthy and pain to healthy and pain to healthy again and I’m choosing to step away because I need to recover.”
Coming off a very disappointing 2017 season, where franchise quarterback Andrew Luck didn’t take a single snap as he recovered from a complex shoulder injury, the Indianapolis Colts’ started the 2018 season 1-6, including an overtime loss to the Houston Texans. However, Luck shook off the year long rust and the defense picked it’s game up around Defensive Rookie of the Year, Darius Leonard. The Colts to won nine of their last 10 games, including a win over the Tennessee Titans on the final night of the regular season. With a 10-6 record, the Colts got the final wild-card spot in the AFC and defeated the Texans 21-7 in the first round of the playoffs, but fell to the Kansas City Chiefs the next weekend, losing 31-13.
