After 11 seasons, Steelers guard Ramon Foster has announced his retirement.
The veteran guard was expected to be traded or released by the black and gold to free up cap space. Instead, Foster announced his retirement today on Instagram.

“When the time comes, you just know and now is a time for me to take a bow,” Foster wrote. “To the Steelers organization, thank you to Coach Tomlin, Mr. Rooney, Ambassador Rooney, and Kevin Colbert for making Pittsburgh feel like a family.”
The Steelers placed the franchise tag on Bud Dupree earlier today, and Foster was one of the sacrifices expected to be made in light of that. The 34-year-old would have made just over $5.5 million in 2020.
Pittsburgh is expected to continue shaving cap as the days go on.
