The Seahawks and the Giants looked to stay in the mix of their respective NFC divisions, both of which own one of the two remaining unbeaten teams in the NFL. Both teams struggled to move the ball during this week’s Monday night matchup, and Seattle’s defense ultimately won the game.

Daniel Jones, who completed 79.4 percent of his passes (27-34) for 203 yards and zero touchdowns, was never able to settle in behind an abysmal Giants offensive line that allowed 11 sacks on the evening. The turnover concerns continue for Jones, who finished with two interceptions and two fumbles (one lost). The Seahawks turned those three turnovers into 17 points.

The most prolific of those turnovers came when Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon intercepted a pass and returned it 97 yards for a touchdown with 1:03 left in the third quarter. Additionally, Seattle linebacker Jordyn Brooks recovered the lost Jones fumble, which set up a short-field drive ending with a D.K. Metcalf touchdown reception.

The Seattle offense did manage to put together one touchdown drive in the second quarter, capped off by a one-yard run courtesy of Kenneth Walker III. This score put the Seahawks up 14-3 at the half, and the aforementioned interception return put the game out of reach for the Giants.

The Seahawks’ victory brought them to 3-1 and keeps them on the heels of the undefeated 49ers in the NFC West. Meanwhile, the Giants’ defeat dropped them to 1-3 and positions them three games behind the undefeated Eagles in the NFC East.
