SCH Round 2 Playoff Preview

Just like that, there were eight.

Only eight teams remain in the Sim City Hoops playoffs and each team has the same goal in sight.

Let’s take a stab at predicting Round 2 of the playoffs.

(1) Pelicans vs. (8) Cavaliers
The Zion Williamson-led Pelicans, who many see as championship contenders this year, take on an undersized and undermatched Coach Sean and the Cavs. The last predictions had the Hornets here taking on the Pelicans, but Sean made quick work of that series and now has his eyes on upsetting Rook. Sean has the skill to compete and give Rook some problems in this series, but you can’t overlook the Pelicans’ playoff train. They should advance quite easily.

Prediction: Pels in 4

(4) Wizards vs. (5) Knicks
Coach Hoya is one step closer to repeating as SCH Champion, which would put him among the very few who’ve accomplished that glorious achievement. Standing in his way are the Knicks and TK, led by Damian Lillard. Will we see Kevin Durant defending Lillard in this series and can anyone stop KD? The better team wins here, but it takes six games.

Prediction: Wizards in 6

(7) Heat vs. (15) Bucks
After reading our first wave of predictions, Coach G told us, “Thanks for the motivation.” He proved those predictions wrong by ending that series in four games. His reward? Getting to face Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks, who are led by Dez. Can Dez finally break through or will Coach G continue his playoff push?

Prediction: Bucks in 7

(3) Jazz vs. (11) Lakers
Can Ame finally slay Coach Mic and his beloved Lakers team who landed Durant in free agency but then traded him? After Mic took out another elite coach in Rob in four games, he gets to face a defensive-minded Jazz team seeking their first title in multiple seasons. Can Ame win with his Jazz in the final season of this OA or will Mic seek his second championship? This series is going to be fun and should go the distance.

Prediction: Jazz in 7
