Report: Rival Team Interested in Signing Butler

While it’s to be expected that cornerback Malcolm Butler will be leaving the New England Patriots, where he’s most likely going surely will make fans uneasy.

The bitter rival New York Jets are reportedly interested in signing the All-Pro cornerback according to Newsday reporter Calvin Watkins.

The team according to the New York Daily News is looking to sign two starting caliber cornerbacks this season after their secondary this past year was less than stellar.

Butler is a player that plays with a man against world physicality and mentality that will further be driven by his benching in this past Super Bowl.

Facing and beating the Patriots is something that Butler would be more than happy to do and the last thing the current AFC Champions would want to happen to them.
