Contrary to initial reports, defensive tackle Michael Brockers, who was reportedly going to sign a free-agent deal with the Baltimore Ravens, is returning to the Los Angeles Rams.
Free agent DT Michael Brockers is heading back to the #Rams, per agent @ScottCasterline. After it falls apart in Baltimore, Brockers lands back home in LA.

At the time Brockers was going to the Ravens, it came on the heels of the team acquiring defensive end Calais Campbell from the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the team placing the franchise tag on linebacker Matt Judon. The first three steps of addressing their needs on defense.
But unfortunately, Brockers and the Ravens were unable to agree to terms on a deal.
Which is good news for defensive end Aaron Donald, as the defensive tackle Brockers will return to his task of creating enough penetration for Donald to be his dominant self.
In a division that has seen the additions of Pro Bowl wide receiver Deandre Hopkins in Arizona, and that had a pair of teams make the playoffs last season in the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks, pass rush is going to be paramount for the Rams defense heading into next season. The familiarity in the defensive play-calling, for Brockers, in this off-season filled with uncertainty with the shutdown of all thing sports, will bode well for the Rams.
