Report: Patriots Make Decision on Malcolm Mitchell

In an unfortunate announcement that seemed promising at first, wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell has officially been ruled out for the AFC Divisional Playoff matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

Mitchell was practicing on and off all week including yesterday’s day of preparation but ultimately the team made the decision to sit him this game.

With Mitchell out, the team still has plenty of options at wide receiver with Chris Hogan returning as well as Danny Amendola, Phillip Dorsett, Kenny Britt, tight end Rob Gronkowski, Dion Lewis, and James White being other options for quarterback Tom Brady to turn to.

Not all is doom and gloomy on the Mitchell front as he can still be activated by next Wednesday to play in the AFC Championship if the Patriots were to win.

Kickoff for the Patriots and Titans game is tomorrow at 8:15 p.m and will be broadcasted on CBS with Jim Nantz and Tony Romo on the call.
