The San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners agreed to a seven-player deal on Sunday night.
Deal as it stands, per sources and reports from @Dennistlin, @JeffPassan and @RyanDivish: Taylor Trammell, Luis Torrens, Ty France and Andre Muñoz from Padres to Mariners for Austin Nola, Austin Adams and Dan Altavilla.

The Padres will receive catcher Austin Nola, and relievers Austin Adams and Dan Altavila. The Mariners receive outfield prospect Taylor Trammell, catcher Luis Torrens, infielder Ty France, and pitcher Andres Muñoz.
A.J. Preller has been wheeling and dealing the past two days, acquiring reliever Trevor Rosenthal yesterday, first baseman Mitch Moreland Sunday morning, and catcher Jason Castro from the Angels earlier Sunday afternoon.
The Padres are 21-15 this season, following a 13-2 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday. They are tied with the Chicago Cubs for the second-best record in the National League, behind the division rival Los Angeles Dodgers.
San Diego is in win now-mode. This trade with the Mariners allowed them to get more production from the catcher position, which has been below average at the plate with Austin Hedges and Francisco Mejía.
Nola hit .308 in 98 at bats for the Mariners this season and can also play first and second base. The 30-year-old is in his second big league season.
Adams did not appear in a game for the Seattle Mariners in 2020. Altavilla posted a 7.71 ERA in 13 appearances this season for Seattle.
Rumors are that the Padres could look to move off Mejia and Hedges to land a starter like the Indians’ Mike Clevinger or the Rangers’ Lance Lynn.
Per source, the Padres have had talks with the Rangers about Lance Lynn. Between Lynn and Clevinger, San Diego appears intent on landing a frontline starter.

The Mariners added much needed talent depth in their farm system with this deal. Trammell is a career .270 hitter in the minor leagues and projects as an everyday center fielder by 2021. Torrens had a brief big league stint with the Padres this year, hitting .273 in 11 at bats.
France was blocked at third base by Manny Machado but was producing in the DH role in a limited capacity. He hit .314 in 51 at bats with 16 RBI with San Diego this year. Muñoz is out this year after having Tommy John surgery this offseason, but he’s a young arm who flashes a triple-digit fastball.
The trade deadline is today at 4 p.m EST.
