NBA Week 10: Unmissable Games

NBA Santa Claus Basketball

When the NBA announced their 2023-24 schedule around four months ago, the Christmas Day games were some of the hottest topics at that time.

Well, that day is finally here.

Christmas Day will feature five games and undoubtedly be the most popular day of the week. Here are some of the juiciest games in the upcoming days.

December 25: Boston Celtics at Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers-Celtics rivalry might not be as heated as it was a few decades ago when Magic Johnson and Larry Bird ruled the basketball world, but this is still a matchup to keep an eye on. The fact that LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Jaylen Brown, and Jayson Tatum will all be on the same court automatically makes this a “must-see” game.

December 25: Milwaukee Bucks at New York Knicks

Watch out for the game ball. When Giannis Antetokounmpo recently scored 64 points, he had plans on keeping the ball as a souvenir. The only problem was that he had a hard time securing that specific ball. The Knicks, however, had an easy time keeping the game ball when Jalen Brunson scored 50 points against the Phoenix Suns. If someone scores a career-high in this game, players on the floor better grab that game ball before it gets lost.

December 25: Dallas Mavericks at Phoenix Suns

Two of the top five scorers will be present in this game. The Suns have Kevin Durant while Dallas will be relying on Luka Doncic. We all know that Durant and Doncic are averaging at least 30 points per game. That’s a lot of buckets between those two and their battle will make this another game to watch during the holiday.

December 26: Minnesota Timberwolves at Oklahoma City Thunder

Look at the matchups in this game. You have Anthony Edwards versus Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for an offensive duel. You also have Rudy Gobert versus Chet Holmgren in a defensive clash. Someone has to stand out or give way, right? Who will it be? This will be one of those games where fans will concentrate on both teams’ offensive and defensive efforts.

December 30: Los Angeles Lakers at Minnesota Timberwolves

D’Angelo Russell, Taurean Prince, and Jarred Vanderbilt used to play for the Timberwolves. Now, they will make their way to Minnesota again as they visit Target Center for the second time in 10 days. Let’s hope that the hometown crowd gets to see LeBron James play this time. Without the most popular player in the league, the Lakers lost by seven during their most recent meeting.
