NBA DFS Fave Five: February 4th, 2020

Josh Livi | February 4th, 2020

Wow!! We had a killer night last night and won some big money. Hope you did too. There are only four games tonight. Despite the limited amount of games, we have no shortage of star-power tonight. Going to have a few heavy hitters tonight. Good luck, enjoy, and let’s get to it!

Guard: Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers (DK-$10,300) (FD-$10,200)

I honestly wouldn’t care if Lillard cost $20,000. He’s been the best player in basketball over the last two weeks and has been on a historic streak! He’s scored over 70, YES, 70, in six consecutive games. He gets a nice matchup against the Denver Nuggets tonight. I’m locking Lillard in my lineup once again until he shows some signs of cooling off. Enjoy the ride!

Forward: Torrey Craig, Denver Nuggets (DK-$3,300) (FD-$3,900)

Craig got a handful of minutes last game with the Nuggets low on players due to injury. Rookie stud Michael Porter Jr, who’s been a regular on my Fave Five list is out with an injury. That means Craig should see a large chunk of playing time. In the absence of MPJ, Craig accumulated 13 points 10 rebounds. Good for 34.5 fantasy points! One of his best games, if not, the best game of the season for him. He is my SLEEPER of the night due to all the injuries the Nuggets are dealing with.

Power Forward: Zion Williamson, New Orleans Pelicans (DK-$7.100) (FD-$6,500)

Zion is a beast. He’s an animal. He plays with so much intensity, energy, aggression, and he’s extremely smart with the basketball. Zion had 33 minutes last game, the most he had all season. He made his debut on January 22nd, and his minutes have gone up every single game. Given how incredible his basketball IQ is, with minutes going up, do the math. The longer he’s on the court, the more he does. In only six games this season the rookie phenom is averaging an insane 33.4 fantasy points per game. Good for 19.5 points per game, and 8.5 rebounds. The matchup doesn’t bother me with Zion, and I’m plugging him in every lineup I have. He’s my top play of the night.

Center: Cody Zeller, Charlotte Hornets (DK-$5,200) (FD-$5,000)

Zeller has quietly been producing some very solid fantasy returns as of late. He is averaging about 30 fantasy points in his last four games. Coming off a near triple-double last game against the San Antonio Spurs, he put up 14 points 12 rebounds, and eight assists. Good for 30.8 fantasy points. Zeller is playing at an extremely high level. He gets a tough matchup against the Houston Rockets tonight, but the fact he can fill up the stat sheet in various ways makes him a very interesting, high-upside player for me.

Util: Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks (DK-$7,300) (FD-$7,200)

Middleton exploded last game for a career-high 51 points! He chipped in 10 rebounds and six assists. With Giannis Antetokounmpo (shoulder) sidelined, Middleton had to carry the team, and that’s exactly what he did. Besides the fantastic performance, Middleton has scored at least 40 fantasy points in four of his last five games. He is certainly playing at an All-Star level, and I don’t see him slowing down anytime soon. Giannis or no Giannis, I like the chances of Middleton extending his 40+ fantasy points streak!

That does it for tonight’s edition of Fave Five! Good luck and hope you win some money using my five favorite plays of the night!
