Continuing to give some love to the West Coast, let’s breakdown the two games on the 9 p.m. slate on DraftKings. There aren’t too many choices but still money to be had. Rock and roll with MLB DFS for September 10.
Pitchers
You basically don’t have much of a choice here but to grab the two highest-priced pitchers in Dustin May and Chris Paddack. Their opponents, Madison Bumgarner and Trevor Cahill have been subpar. MadBum has been downright horrible and the fact his fastball is sitting around 87-90 mph doesn’t bode well. Cahill has been treated with kid gloves and will likely not work past the fourth inning. May and Paddack are the guys to play and hope they pitch well.
Stack
Give me the San Diego Padres. They have hit the cover off the ball this season. Manny Machado, Jake Cronenworth, and Wil Myers are all in play here. Roll with the hot team against a guy who, first of all, isn’t great, and second will likely not pitch past the fourth.
Hitters
Mitch Moreland ($3,900)
Following the Stack of the Padres, one guy to get in there is Moreland. He is one of the cheapest in that lineup and offers some real pop. Moreland should fill in admirably for Eric Hosmer who recently landed on the IL. After a rough start to his Padres career, Moreland is three for his last eight and hit his first bomb in a San Diego uniform last night. He is also familiar with Cahill, going 7-25 with three bombs against the right-hander.
Eduardo Escobar ($3,900)
While the Arizona switch-hitter is only hitting .211 this season with four HRs, he has been fairly hot. He is 7-23 with three doubles in his last five games. Escobar is a nice play since you will be paying up for the two starters. At $3,900 he could be a steal putting up a solid 10 points.
