MLB DFS Diamond Picks: World Series Game 2

MLB DFS Diamond Picks: World Series Game 2

Here we are, we have made it to the World Series. The playoff bubble environment has worked flawlessly, and now we are set up for a fun and thrilling set. These are two teams that a lot of us had on the radar to make waves in this postseason tournament. One team stacked with an embarrassment of riches in regards to pitching in the Tampa Bay Rays. The other, the Los Angeles Dodgers, blessed with great pitching and an even better group of hitters. Things got kicked off last night with Clayton Kershaw and Mookie Betts stealing the show in a convincing 8-3 victory for the Dodgers. Who is in line for a good game tonight? Read on as we give our lineup selections for Game 2 in MLB DFS Diamond Picks.

Corey Seager SS, LAD

Seager was totally in the zone for the seven-game thriller versus the Atlanta Braves. His 5 home runs and 11 runs batted in were both NLCS records. It is safe to say he was the best player in baseball over the period. Coming into the World Series, Seager was hitting .298 with a 1.112 OPS in 47 at-bats. Seager hits from the left side of the plate but did manage to hit .275 with a .507 slugging percentage in 69 at-bats against left-handed pitching during the regular season. Blake Snell will be on the bump tonight for the Rays, he has not been past the fifth inning in any of his starts during these playoffs.

Chris Taylor IF, LAD

Despite often being buried in the loaded Dodgers lineup, Chris Taylor has plenty of playoff experience and the ability to produce for ours. Just three years ago the utility plug-and-play veteran took home the NLCS MVP. Although we are not necessarily expecting that type of performance, Taylor can be the type of player that can separate you from the pack. During the 60 game season. Taylor proved to be very clutch with runners in scoring position, hitting to the tune of .342. Last night, the versatile Taylor had a nice performance, going 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Mookie Betts OF, LAD

Betts cooled off slightly during the Braves Series. He hit just .269, but on the whole he has been a big part of keeping the Dodgers on track. Let’s not forget that Betts is capable of beating you in multiple ways, whether it’s with his bat or his legs. Betts is carrying a .311 average with 10 runs scored and two steals in 12 games this postseason entering the final series. Betts has 23 career at-bats versus Blake Snell. He has managed to hit .304 while slugging .522 against the former Cy Young winner. Last night, Betts performed fantastically in going 2-for-4 with a homer and two stolen bases.

Randy Arozarena OF, TB

The Rays’ offense lived and died off of the long ball in terms of scoring runs to this point in the playoffs. Their best hitter to date is Randy Arozarena and it’s not even close. His .382 average is leaps and bounds better than their next best hitter (Manuel Margot at .256). It will be very interesting to see how the Dodgers will approach pitching to the young slugger. They can’t walk him every at-bat, but they may want to. He’s cleared the fence seven times in just 55 at-bats during the playoffs. He went yard seven times in 64 at-bats during the regular season. Until/if Brandon Lowe figures things out (.115) or Austin Meadows gets in sync, Arozarena will be the guy to carry the Rays offensively. Arozarena was held in check last night going 0-for-3 with a walk. Tony Gonsolin is the scheduled starter for Los Angeles.
