Key Player Reportedly Not Taking the Field in Today’s Game

Just mere hours before kickoff, New England Patriots fans will be hit with yet another disappointing announcement as running back Rex Burkhead who was listed as questionable will unlikely suit up for today’s game.

NFL insider Adam Schefter tweeted the news early this morning.

The Patriots much like with wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell, seem to be taking it cautious with their running back who despite practicing, was reportedly not able to get through all the stretches in warmups and was seen favoring that leg which was fitted with a brace.

The Patriots will also most likely be down another running back as Mike Gillislee is reportedly also going to miss today’s game leaving the team with three running backs in Dion Lewis, James White, and Brandon Bolden.

The first AFC Divisional Round Playoff game kicks off tonight at 8:15 p.m.
