The Warriors would absorb Oubre’s $14.4 million salary into their $17.2 million trade exception. Acquiring Oubre will be expensive for the Warriors. The Warriors luxury tax bill could go up to $134 million, according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks.
Golden State tax bill is currently $66M
The addition of Kelly Oubre would see it increase to $134M
$14.4M of Oubre + $68M in taxes= $82.4M

This is the second time that Oubre has been traded. Earlier this week the Phoenix Suns traded Oubre to the Thunder for Chris Paul. Last season Oubre averaged 18.7 points and 6.4 rebounds.
Oubre is what the Warriors need since Klay Thompson will be out for the upcoming season due to an injury. The Warriors won’t be title contenders with Thompson being out but with Oubre they might make the playoffs.
