While the 2021 NFL season is still months away, it is never too early to prepare for the fantasy season. Whether it’s research, mock drafts, or going with your gut, everyone has a way to prepare for their fantasy drafts. However, this isn’t another article to help you prepare for the fantasy season. Today, I am going to give three bold fantasy predictions for the Denver Broncos in 2021.

Melvin Gordon Doesn’t Finish the 2021 Season in Denver
While Phillip Lindsay is now a member of the Houston Texans, Gordon won’t be on the team for much longer. Before letting Lindsay leave in free agency, the Broncos signed former Minnesota Viking Mike Boone to a two-year deal for almost $4 million. Then, the Broncos traded up ahead of the Miami Dolphins in the second round to secure Javonte Williams. Many believe that Gordon and Williams will split the work this season before handing over the full-time job to Williams in 2022. However, the Broncos owe Gordon a $2 million roster bonus at the start of training camp. If Williams shines during OTAs and mini-camp, don’t be surprised to see Denver roll with Williams and Boone and trade or release Gordon.
Courtland Sutton Finishes Outside the Top-36 Wide Receivers
Last season Sutton played a total of 31 snaps before suffering a torn ACL in Week 2. In the one game he played, Sutton had three catches for 66 yards on six targets. However, 45 of the yards came from one catch. In 2019, Sutton finished as the WR26 on a point per game basis, averaging 13.9 fantasy points per game. However, since then, the Broncos added Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler, while Tim Patrick and Noah Fant have taken on bigger roles in the offense. With the questions at quarterback and all the mouths to feed on offense, taking Sutton as anything more than a fourth receiver would be a mistake.
Noah Fant Finishes as a Top-Five Tight End
Much like wide receivers, tight ends typically have their breakout season in their third year in the league. As a rookie, Fant averaged a respectable 6.9 fantasy points per game on 66 targets. Then last season, Fant finished the year as the TE10, averaging 10 fantasy points per game on 93 targets. However, before suffering an injury in Week 4, Fant was averaging 15.5 fantasy points per game to start the season. He then finished the season strong, averaging 14 fantasy points per game over the final three games. At an average of 14 fantasy points per game, Fant would have finished the year as the TE4. After the big three tight ends, you can make a case for selecting Fant as the fourth tight end.
