To say Eduardo Camavinga has made a positive impact for Real Madrid in the Champions League knockout stage would be a huge understatement. It seems that every time the 19-year-old French midfielder came off the bench, something magical happened. Based on Real Madrid’s come-from-behind wins in the knockout stage, the momentum sparked once Camavinga was in the game. At this point, he’s a strong difference-maker for Los Blancos.
Real Madrid signed Camavinga last summer. So far, Camavinga has appeared in 37 games total for Los Blancos. Although he has spent the majority of his stint so far as a reserve player, Camavinga has made tremendous progress in proving himself to be a valuable asset to the club. In addition, he’s solidifying himself as a huge part of the club’s future. There’s a reason Carlo Ancelotti trusts Camavinga in crucial moments in the Champions League knockout stage. Furthermore, based on Camavinga’s results and progress, he deserves to be part of the French squad for the World Cup later this year.

Sooner or later, France will need Camavinga
The French Football Federation literally has endless riches of unique and impressive talent. Didier Deschamps, the manager of the French National Team has the most difficult job in selecting players for upcoming competitions. However, Camavinga has to be taken into serious consideration.
If Camavinga is able to solidify himself as the future of Real Madrid, he’s certainly able to do the same with France. Even if he were to be a reserve player, he can learn from veteran midfielders such as Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kanté. In addition, Camavinga’s Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema can certainly vouch for him. Furthermore, if a midfielder is hurt, Camavinga is a good and reliable replacement. Long story short, one way or the other, the national team will be needing him.
At this point, there’s no doubt that Camavinga has earned a call-up to the national team. For the national team, this is the opportunity to groom Camavinga for the future. By 2026, Camavinga could be at full strength, and with his great potential, he could be France’s playmaker.
