Boston College was able to finally get a win after the team’s lackluster performance and followthrough in their previous two games.

The final score was Boston College 80, Georgia Tech 72.

GT (11-12, 4-6) 36 33 3 72
BC (14-9, 4-6) 28 41 11 80

“I kind of knew I was scoreless,” Sophomore Ky Bowman, who went scoreless in the second half, said. “I knew I had to step up at the end, that’s when I needed to step up.”

And that’s exactly what he did.

Bowman’s baseline drive pushed the Eagles ahead 71-69. After the Yellow Jackets moved ahead by one, Bowman had a drive in the lane that pushed BC ahead for good. He added a jumper from the right corner and two free throws.

“He has an innate ability to understand and have confidence to take the moment,” Eagles coach Jim Christian said. “That’s what makes him special — he’s a winner.”

The Eagles next face off against Notre Dame.
