Holy Cross shot an impressive 67 percent from the field and 60 percent from beyond the arc in the victory. In contrast, Navy shot 41 percent from the field and 34 percent from deep. Although the teams were only separated by one point at the half, the Crusaders came out of the break hot, going on a 23-8 run to open the second half.

This win avenges Holy Cross’s 49-42 loss to Navy in the quarterfinals in the Patriot League tournament last year. The last time that Holy Cross advanced to the Semifinals was the 2015-16 tournament, when they entered as the No.9 seed and miraculously won the Patriot League. They advanced to the NCAA tournament and won their first game before losing to Oregon.

In the Semifinals of the Patriot League tournament, Holy Cross will take on No.2 seed Colgate on Sunday, March 4 at noon. The Crusaders are 0-2 against Colgate this season.
