The Holy Cross Crusaders fell one point short of an upset against Patriot League leaders, Bucknell, as they lost 68-67 in overtime.

After leading the Bison 33-32 at halftime, the Crusaders found themselves tied at 66 with under 20 seconds to go. Junior guard Patrick Benzan missed a shot at the buzzer, sending the two teams to overtime.
The overtime period was bleak for both teams, as the two only managed three points combined. The only points came from free throws, as Bucknell’s Zach Thomas hit two, while Holy Cross’s Austin Butler hit one. Benzan again had the chance to win the game for the Crusaders, but his last-second shot went off the rim and out, giving the Bison the win.
Junior Jehyve Floyd led the Crusaders with his first double-double of the season, scoring 18 points and adding a season-high 11 rebounds. While he shot 50 percent from the field in the game, Floyd shot 4-of-14 from the free throw line, missing key free throws that could have won Holy Cross the game.
Butler added 17 points to the Crusaders losing effort, also managing nine rebounds. Freshman Jacob Grandison scored 11 points on 5-of-16 shooting along with eight rebounds. Benzan, who missed the two game-winners for Holy Cross, ended the day with 10 points.
