Could the Broncos Make the Playoffs in 2020?

The Denver Broncos are coming off a mediocre season in which they went 7-9. This year, they will need to get off to a better start. Both offense and defense must take advantage of other teams’ mistakes.

Broncos’ Weapons

The Broncos will need to use everything they have to make the playoffs in 2020. Vic Fangio and his team have a tough division in the AFC West and Drew Lock is getting the nod to start the season at quarterback. He will have to have a good pass game and execute the run game well.

Jerry Jeudy will get his chance to make an impact on the offensive side of the ball in his first year as a pro receiver. Lock also needs help from his offensive line to give him time to throw down field.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Broncos will be led by veteran linebacker, Von Miller. His veteran presence will be key for Denver, especially with young players surrounding him.

Denver’s special teams will be an important part of their success, too.

Many of Denver’s games are won or lost by three points or less. They will have to get some of those ugly wins to make the playoffs.

Denver’s Schedule

The Broncos will have their work cut out for them this year as they will have to face their division rivals twice apiece. Denver will need to win as many of those games as they can — especially at home. They will also face the Titans, Steelers, Bucs, Jets, Patriots, Dolphins, Falcons, Saints, Panthers, and Bills. They have a hard schedule in 2020 and will need to use home-field privilege as an advantage when they are in Denver.

They will also need to play mistake-free football and force other teams to make the mistakes.

Summary

Denver needs to get off to a fast start in the win column and also in the division. They will have to execute on both sides of the ball and have good coaching on both sides, as well.

The Broncos made some moves in the offseason that should help their squad.

The goal for Denver is to take advantage of every little mistake other teams make and make them pay for it.

Touchdowns are the goal for the offense and turnovers are the goal for defense.

If Denver can execute, they will have a chance at a playoff spot in 2020.
