Marcus Smart rehabbing injured hand
Celtics guard Marcus Smart’s thumb surgery was successful, and he has begun the process of rehabbing the injury.
The initial timeline for Smart’s return to the lineup is somewhere between six and eight weeks after the surgery. Smart told reporters on Monday that he is only participating in cardio exercises, and he hopes to get back to upper-body exercises soon.
“My biggest concern was getting this fixed and being ready for whenever I come back,” Smart said.
Morris fined by NBA
Celtics forward Marcus Morris was fined $15,000 after the team’s matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans for “verbally abusing an official”. Morris received a technical foul during the game and was later fined for his confrontation with a referee.
